Handbook Partnership Announcement – Factary

Welcome to Factary, the new Ethics Domain Learning Partner for the RiF Handbook

We are delighted to announce that leading independent research agency and consultancy to the non-profit sector, Factary, have become the latest Partner of the RiF Handbook. Factary has been at the forefront of database screening, profiling, publications and prospect research for over 25 years, and is well known as the manager of the pivotal Phi database, a reliable source of historical donation information for the sector.

Factary has generously sponsored the Ethics Domain of the Handbook for a three-year partnership. The domain currently includes chapters on ethical policy and procedures as well as ethical behaviour, but has two new additions, covering Due Diligence/Donation Acceptance and GDPR currently in progress, with a further Diversity, Equality & Inclusion in Prospect Research planned for the near future. Factary’s support will be pivotal in developing this content and adding value for the Handbook’s subscribers.

Will Whitefield, Research Director at Factary, commented, “We’re delighted to be continuing our relationship with RiF by joining them as a Learning Partner for the new RiF Handbook. This is a fantastic resource for all research professionals, furthering RiF’s tradition of sharing knowledge and fostering best practice across the prospect research community. We are particularly pleased to be partnering on the Ethics Domain, as we are proud of the role researchers continue to play in upholding the highest ethical standards within our industry, promoting rigorous adherence to data protection, and safeguarding the reputation of their organisations.”

Chris Davis, Chair of RiF Committee, stated, “It is fantastic to have Factary on board as Handbook Learning Partners. They have been long standing supporters of RiF and of the wider prospect research community, and this partnership will cement that. Given our shared histories, we are really pleased that Factary are joining us on this journey as we continue to grow the Handbook.”
